Having grown up in the midst of traditional Irish music and dance, Kathleen was dancing before she could walk! However, a holiday in the Caribbean brought Kathleen face-to-face with her true passion and salsa became her new found vocation. With most of Kathleen’s dancing and teaching experience gained in the UK, she is now arguably one of the best salsa instructors in the south of Ireland, she is the only UKA qualified Instructor in the republic of Ireland and she is the major driving force behind her company, Salsa Ireland. |

About Salsa Ireland
Salsa Ireland was formed in March 2002 by a group of like-minded salsa enthusiasts with the aim of growing and developing the salsa scene in Cork and the rest of Ireland. The group first started out by bringing top UK salsa instructors to Cork to hold monthly workshops. Eventually, as the success of these workshops grew far beyond initial expectations, Salsa Ireland was born.
To date, we have hosted seven international salsa festivals, in addition to providing regular classes and workshops throughout the country.
Ultimately, we hope to share our enjoyment of salsa with everyone by showing the fun, exciting and spontaneous nature of a dance based on vibrant music. With an ever developing and now officially recognised salsa scene in Ireland, we plan on letting the world know just how Latin the Irish can be! |

At Salsa Ireland, we take having fun seriously! The Absolute Beginners Fun Class
Our interactive fun class is run by our team of expert instructors and dancers and is designed to cater for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Like all salsa classes, this makes for a great ice-breaker and brings everyone together in a light-hearted way.
The Latin Dance Floor Show
This live floor show features our own professional dance troupe performing spectacular back-to-back salsa routines with 3-6 dancers, followed by a demonstration of casino rueda (synchronised formation dancing) with up to eight couples on the floor.
The Salsa Ireland DJs
Always a party favourite, our highly experienced salsa DJs will rock the house and add that extra touch of spice to your night with the hottest Latino hits.
The Party Extras
In addition to the standard party packages, our entertainment team can add even more fun to your night with themed fancy dress nights, games and dancing competitions. We will also be happy to oblige any specific party requests or ideas.
